Tibi the Pumpkin Monster Crochet Pattern — Halloween Amigurumi
About this pattern
A little pumpkin-headed creature with a wire-posable body, spindly copper-wire arms and a green leaf tied round his neck. Tibi stands about 12 cm (4.7 in) tall including his stem — small enough for a shelf, a desk or a whole autumn vignette.
What you get
- 10-page PDF, instant download after purchase
- 19 step photos and diagrams, including a charted leaf and the wire-armature assembly
- US crochet terms, round by round with stitch counts on every line
- Clear guidance on the ribbing, the eye sockets and the embroidered mouth
The build
Body and head are two separate pumpkins, worked in continuous rounds from a magic ring held double for a tight start. Both get six pulled ribs that turn a plain ball into a proper pumpkin. A taped wire armature runs through the body before stuffing, so Tibi can lean, slouch and hold a pose.
The face is built from shaped eye sockets pulled in at round 13, two tiny crocheted eyes with French-knot highlights, and a mouth embroidered in back stitch — the pattern counts the stitches out so the grin lands in the right place.
The arms are copper wire bent into fingers and wrapped in brown yarn, giving you thin, expressive hands that hold their shape. A back-loop-only strip rolled into a cylinder makes the stem, and a small charted leaf on a chain finishes him off like a tie.
Skills & materials
- Intermediate. Comfortable with magic ring, sc, inc, dec, BLO, embroidery and assembly sewing
- 100% microfibre, 50 g / 152 m — just under 1 skein orange, a little brown and green, plus a finer black for the eyes
- 1.5 mm hook (1.25 mm for the eyes), tapestry needle, stitch marker, fibrefill
- Armature wire 1.5–2 mm and tape, plus 1 mm copper wire for the arms
Works beautifully in other fine yarns — cotton or baby acrylic at the same weight. Finer yarn, smaller hook, smaller monster.
