Gingerbread Man Crochet Pattern — Easy Flat Christmas Amigurumi
About this pattern

A plump little gingerbread man, just like the cookie, with a smiling face, icing zig-zags on his arms and legs and a row of buttons down his tummy. Make one for the tree, hang one on a present, or fill a bowl with a whole batch.
He's one of the quickest Christmas makes in the shop. The whole shape is worked flat in rows, so there are no rounds to count and no small pieces to sew on. You crochet two identical pieces, place them together, crochet around the edge and stuff him as you go. Then decorate him however you like.
What you get
- 3-page PDF in English, US crochet terms
- Row-by-row instructions with the stitch count for every row
- Abbreviations, a short "before you start" section and finishing steps
How he's made
- Head, arms, body and legs in one flat piece, worked from the head down
- Arms made in one row with two chains, so there's nothing to attach
- Each leg shaped separately at the bottom
- Two pieces joined with single crochet and stuffed while you join them
You will need
- Yarn in a gingerbread colour (light brown or beige)
- A crochet hook to suit your yarn
- Toy stuffing
- Yarn or thread for decorating (white, red, blue, black)
- Tapestry needle and scissors
Skill level
Beginner. You should know how to chain, single crochet, increase and decrease. Basic stitches are not taught in this pattern.
This is a digital PDF pattern, not a finished toy. Nothing will be posted to you.
How the download works
Your PDF link arrives by email as soon as your payment goes through, and it's also on your order confirmation page. Save the file somewhere safe, it's yours to keep.
Refunds on digital items
Because a pattern can't be handed back once it's downloaded, digital orders aren't refundable. If something is wrong with the file or a round doesn't add up, email us and we'll sort it out.
